WP4 Analysis of used methods, creation of learning materials

The main objective and result of WP4 is learning and orientation material that is applicable at VET schools and useful for the personnel addressing students that struggle with social, mental, and physical wellbeing. Based on the experiences, feedback and analysis, the partners will create learning and orientation material for the personnel that will be integrated in the learning environments of the partner schools.

WinNova has the main responsibility of coordinating the work and will organize online meetings. All partners will participate in analysing feedback from the pilots and in creating learning and orientation materials based on the pilots, feedback and the analysis. Materials will be created in English together. Each partner is responsible for translating the materials in their national language. An analysis report of the pilots including the feedback summary of the pilots will also be produced by the partners in order to give useful information on what the needs to be considered in using the chosen practices which are described in the learning and orientation material.

Neurodiversity in VET Competence Badge

There may be inconsistencies in the development of children and young people, for example in learning, attention, self-regulation and social interaction. It is estimated that in Finland, at least around 10–15 per cent of the population exhibit such characteristics, which may be referred to, for example, as neurodiversity. As these characteristics have a significant impact on young people’s daily lives and well-being, understanding neurodiversity and developing support and services to meet the needs of young people on the neurodiversity spectrum is an important part of the work of professionals in the health, social care, education and teaching sectors.

The contents of the learning material (competence badge) provide ideas and tips for planning and delivering teaching and guidance in a neuro-friendly way. The competence badge provides information on the characteristics exhibited by neurodivergent individuals in the interpretation of sensory perceptions, information processing and ways of thinking. It enhances VET teachers´ and counsellors´ ability to interact with people who are neurodivergent or who have neuropsychiatric challenges. The course also introduces tools for managing cognitive load, which can be used to support learning.

The descriptions and contents of the learning material (competence badge) can be found below in Finnish and English.

Deploying an AI chatbot to support student wellbeing: a practical guide

Graafschap College developed and piloted an AI chatbot to help students navigate school regulations, rights and support services. The chatbot was tested with 25 Care & Welfare students in January 2026.

This guide documents our full approach — from scoping and system prompt design to student testing and evaluation — and includes all materials as appendices: the complete system prompt, design decisions, student testing guide and feedback form. Throughout, we distinguish between choices specific to our context and those transferable to other institutions.

The guide also presents pilot findings, qualitative feedback and lessons learned, including the importance of securing long-term ownership before starting a pilot and explicitly covering mental health in the knowledge base.

All materials are freely available. The guides can be found below in Dutch and English.
